Skywards Everyday Terms and Conditions 

  1. To participate in EmCan, Members must download the EmCan mobile application (“EmCan App”) from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store and sign in using their account credentials.
  2. Members wishing to participate in the EmCan and Skywards Everyday Conversion value proposition must link their EmCan and Skywards Everyday accounts.
  3. Emirates Skywards recommends that Members link their Eligible Payment Card via the Skywards Everyday App at least 24 hours prior to making your first purchase at a Participating Outlet to ensure that your purchase is recorded.
  4. EmCan Partner” means, as the context requires, an, Conversion Partner or Destination Partner either individually or collectively.
  5. Conversion Partner” means a third party provider of products, goods and/or services that is participating in EmCan, that provides Members with the opportunity to transfer or convert the loyalty points earned under its loyalty programme to EmCan  and/or to convert EmCan to loyalty points under its loyalty programme, as listed on the EmCan App as such from time-to-time.
  6. The terms “Account”, “Member”, “EmCan”, “EmCan points”, “EmCoins” and “Tier points” shall have the same meanings given to them under the EmCan app Rules (link below).
  7. EmCan is a loyalty program by Emarat. Members’ participation in EmCan is at all times subject to these EmCan Terms and Conditions, and the EmCan app rules and Terms & Conditions.
  8. Emarat has the right to change the policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, in connection with the offering under these terms and conditions with or without notice.  

 

EmCoin Earning  

  1. Emarat and our partners will determine which products and services will earn you points. The value of points earned and products/services in scope may change without prior notice. You may only earn Points when making purchases in the indicated Emarat stores and its redemption partners’ stores or points of sales.
  2. provide your loyalty card in the station, your points will not be added. If a purchase is returned and you have earned points on this purchase, the points will be removed after the refund is processed. If you have returned a purchase paid thanks to your points, the amount paid in points will be returned to your account.
  3. Points are not exchangeable for cash and can only be redeemed on the products/services indicated in the App.
  4. Points must be redeemed before twelve (12) months from the date awarded, failing which they shall automatically expire without further notice to you.
  5. On collection of sufficient points (a minimum of 100), you may redeem points by generating a redemption voucher from the burn section of your App where the value of 100 points is 1 AED. The value of points may be changed at any time by Emarat at its sole discretion and without prior notice to you. 

 

 

Loyalty Points Conversion  

  1. If a Conversion Partner provides Members with the opportunity to transfer or convert points (or such other loyalty credits of the Conversion Partner) (“Points”) earned with the Conversion Partner to EmCan (each a “Points Conversion”), any such Points Conversion shall only be valid if (i) the relevant Member is both an EmCan Member and a member in the Conversion Partner’s applicable loyalty programme, and (ii) the Points held by a Member in the Conversion Partner’s applicable loyalty programme are transferred: (a) by the Member from an account held with that Conversion Partner in the Member’s own name (“Loyalty Programme Account”), and (b) into the same Member’s own Account (“Partner Linked Accounts”). Partner Linked Accounts must have an identical first name, surname and date of birth. 
  2. If EmCan provides Members with the opportunity to transfer or convert EmCan points to Skyward miles through redeeming EmCan points under the EmCan Loyalty Programme in exchange for Points (each a “EmCan Conversion”) any such EmCan Point Conversion shall only be valid if (i) the relevant Member is both an EmCan Member and a member in the relevant Conversion Partner’s applicable loyalty programme, (ii) The EmCan Points held by a Member in the Account are transferred: (a) by the Member from an account held with EmCan in the Member’s own name, and (b) into the same Member’s Loyalty Programme Account (“EmCan Linked Accounts”). EmCan Linked Accounts must have an identical first name, surname and date of birth.  “Points Conversion” and “EmCan point Conversion” shall herein after collectively be referred to as “Conversion” or “Conversions.”
  3. Only one Loyalty Programme Account can be linked by a Member to their EmCan Account at any time. A Member may de-link their Loyalty Programme Account with their EmCan Account at any time.  Members may link an alternative Loyalty Programme Account with their EmCan Account no more than once in any 12 month period, provided the EmCan Linked Account eligibility criteria is met.
  4. With respect to any Points Conversion, Emarat reserves the right, in its sole discretion, not to (i) link a Member’s Account, or (ii) credit a Member’s Account, and/or (iii) cancel any EmCan points already credited to a Member’s Account, where Emarat has reason to believe that:
  • the identity of a Member does not match the identity of the transferor;
  • there has been an error, mistake or system malfunction;
  • there has been a misrepresentation by a Member to the Conversion Partner or EmCan;
  • there has been any fraudulent activity;
  • the Member has committed, or has encouraged any other person to commit, any Programme Misuse;
  • there has been any nonsanctioned transaction (including, without limitation, any unauthorised sale or purchase of) of EmCan points by a Member; or
  • a Member has engaged in any illegal activity, in connection with the transfer or conversion of EmCan points in a Member’s Account.  

 

  1. A minimum of 1000 EmCan points can be converted to conversion partner loyalty program.
  2. The designated Points Conversion ratio and EmCan points Conversion ratio shall be determined by the relevant Conversion Partner and Emarat respectively from time to time.
  3. Each Conversion will take place instantly. Once EmCan points have been converted to Skyward miles, the miles will automatically be transferred to the Member’s applicable Loyalty Programme Account held with that Conversion Partner and once Skyward miles have been converted to points, points will automatically be transferred to the Members’ Account.
  4. Conversions cannot be cancelled, reversed or changed.
  5. For the management of Conversion transactions, including account linking and account verification, Members authorise Emarat and the relevant Conversion Partner to collect and transfer certain personal information, including transactional data, title, first name, last name, date of birth, email address, membership number, and Membership Tier. EmCan’s Privacy Policy shall apply to the use of Members’ personal information within EmCan app, while the privacy policy of the relevant Conversion Partner shall apply to the processing of personal information within their application. Emirates is not responsible for the processing of personal information by the Conversion Partner, and Members are encouraged to review the Conversion Partner’s privacy policy for more details on their practices.
  6. It is the responsibility of each Member to check that EmCan points or Skyward miles (as applicable) have been credited for each respective Conversion. Where Skywards Miles have not been credited to a Member Account subsequent to a Points Conversion, Members are requested to contact the Conversion Partner’s customer service department and are required to provide supporting evidence of the relevant Points Conversion activity. Where Points have not been credited to a Member’s Loyalty Programme Account subsequent to a Skywards Miles Conversion, Members are requested to contact Emirates’ Contact Centre and are required to provide evidence of the relevant Skywards Miles Conversion activity. In providing the required supporting evidence to Emirates or the relevant Conversion Partner (as applicable), the Member agrees to Emirates and/or the relevant Conversion Partner utilising such information solely for the purposes of validating and crediting missing Skywards Miles or Points (as applicable).
  7. The relevant Conversion Partner’s terms and conditions shall also apply to each Points Conversion. The terms and conditions of the Conversion Partner’s loyalty programme also control the accrual, redemption and distribution of Points earned through that loyalty programme. Emarat shall not be liable for any loss, expiration, devaluation, or unavailability of Skyward miles issued by a Conversion Partner or for any disputes or claims arising from the use of Skyward miles issued under the Conversion Partner’s loyalty programme. Conversion Partners reserve the right to change their loyalty programme at any time without notice. Any such change may affect a Member’s ability to use the Points accumulated by such Member following an EmCan points Conversion.
